  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  2. Chop the onion and bell peppers into bite-sized pieces.
  3. In the slow cooker, combine the browned beef with corn, diced tomatoes (with juice), kidney beans, onion, and bell peppers. Stir well.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and chili powder if desired. Mix thoroughly.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  6. About 10 minutes before serving, sprinkle shredded cheese on top and cover until melted.
