  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (your choice)

Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat from the pork shoulder and cut it into large chunks.
  2. In a bowl, mix salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic; rub this mixture over the pork.
  3. Set your Instant Pot to sauté mode and add oil. Cook chopped onions until translucent (about 3 minutes).
  4. Add the seasoned pork chunks to the pot and sear on all sides until browned.
  5. Pour in apple cider and scrape any bits from the bottom of the pot.
  6. Close the lid and set to high pressure for 60 minutes; let pressure naturally release afterward.
  7. Shred the pork with two forks in the pot and stir in barbecue sauce to taste.
  8. Serve on buns or with sides of your choice.
