  • 3 lbs pork shoulder
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup sriracha
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat from the pork shoulder and cut it into large chunks if necessary.
  2. Place the sliced onion at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. Add minced garlic on top of the onions.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sriracha, and ginger until combined. Pour over the pork.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours until fork-tender.
  6. Shred pork in the slow cooker and mix with sauce. Serve garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
