  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Cut the beef chuck roast into bite-sized pieces for quicker cooking.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, sear the beef chunks until browned on all sides.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil.
  4. Place the seared beef in a slow cooker and pour the sauce over it. Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
  5. About 30 minutes before serving, stir in fresh broccoli florets.
  6. For a thicker sauce, add cornstarch mixed with water about 10 minutes before serving.
