Ingredients
  

For the Meatballs

  • 2 lbs Ground Beef Choose an 80/20 or 85/15 lean-to-fat ratio
  • 2 large Eggs Acts as a binder
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs Adds structure and texture
  • 1 medium Onion (finely diced) Provides moisture and flavor
  • 1 tsp Salt Enhances overall taste
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper Seasoning to elevate flavors
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder Introduces depth
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce Contributes umami and moisture

For the Sauce

  • 1 cup Chili Sauce Star ingredient for sauce
  • 1 cup Grape Jelly Adds sweetness and thickness

For the Garnish

  • 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley For garnish

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, diced onion, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently until just combined.
  • Using your hands, form about 40-45 one-inch meatballs and place them on a foil-lined baking sheet.
  • Preheat your broiler to high and broil the meatballs for 8-10 minutes until cooked through.
  • In a saucepan, combine chili sauce and grape jelly over medium-low heat. Stir and cook for about 3-4 minutes until smooth.
  • Transfer the broiled meatballs to a slow cooker and pour the sauce over them. Toss gently and cook on low for about 3 hours.
  • Serve the meatballs on a platter garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Make a double batch and store extras in an airtight container. These meatballs taste better the next day.
