  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 1 cup Sour Cream can substitute with Greek yogurt or crème fraîche

How to Make Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff

  • Prepare the Slow Cooker Base: Start by placing the beef stew meat, diced onion, minced garlic, and sliced mushrooms into the slow cooker. Mix them gently.
  • Add Seasonings: Pour in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and optional Dijon mustard. Sprinkle paprika, salt, and black pepper, and stir to coat everything.
  • Cook: Set the slow cooker to low for 6-7 hours or high for 4-5 hours until the beef is fork-tender.
  • Thicken the Sauce: Mix cornstarch with a bit of water and stir it into the slow cooker 30 minutes before serving.
